A few words about us
Michelle Bobier is a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist. She completed her 700-hour biodynamic foundation training at 3rd Coast Craniosacral, Evanston, Illinois, under the direction of Ginger Crisenbery, BCST. Michelle also completed a course of study in Biodynamic Lymphatics with Kathleen Morrow, RCST, of Manitou Springs, Colorado. Additionally, Michelle has been studying Tai Chi and Chi Gong with Master Hongchao Zhang of Chicago’s Chinese Gong-Fu Institute since 1994, and has earned a 6th Duan (level) in Chi Gong. Michelle has also made a study of the remarkable properties and therapeutic uses of essential oils.
Michelle holds a PhD in English from Northwestern University. She formerly was a professional writer, and had her own editing business for a time. Being struck by lightning, and suffering years of post-traumatic stress disorder as a result, put her on a different path by bringing her in touch with Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST). When she experienced the relaxation, nervous system balancing, and healing effects of the work, she decided to become a BCST herself. She brings a deep personal understanding of physical and emotional trauma to her work with clients.
Michelle is also a singer, guitarist, and songwriter. Her background in music helps her understand the rhythms of the body; it also helps her appreciate the art (as well as the science) of her work.
